CHED recognizes PSM programs of STRIDE partner universities

We congratulate our partner universities for having recently obtained official recognition from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for their Professional Science Master’s (PSM) programs developed through the technical assistance of USAID Philippines and in partnership with Florida State University and Rutgers University.

The six universities are among only 38 higher education institutions identified as “newly-approved delivering higher education institution (DHEI) programs” to offer graduate programs starting Academic Year 2017-2018.

The universities are the first in the Philippines to offer the PSM, a program that provides advanced training in science, technology, engineering, agriculture, and mathematics (STEAM) while also allowing students to develop skills that are highly valued by the industry:

Mariano Marcos State University, Ilocos Norte (with Energy Development Corp.)
PSM in Renewable Energy Engineering

Holy Angel University, Angeles City (with Cloudstaff, Inc.)
PSM in Cybersecurity

Western Mindanao State University, Zamboanga City (with Permex Corp.)
PSM in Food Processing and Management

University of Science and Technology in Southern Philippines-Cagayan de Oro (with four local companies and electric cooperatives)
PSM in Power Systems Engineering and Management

Saint Louis University, Baguio City (with Moog Controls, Corp.)
Master in Manufacturing Engineering and Management

University of the Cordilleras, Baguio City (with Texas Instruments)
